About The Hypnosis Training Center |
|
 |
The Hypnosis Training Center was founded by Zev Ballen, LCSW in 2005 with the endorsements
of numerous prominent Rabbonim and Mechanchim (see Endorsements). The Center
is proud
of its reputation for the teaching of hypnosis according to halachic and hashkofic requirements. The introduction of hypnosis into the Orthodox Jewish community has stimulated
a great deal
of interest by a wide spectrum of Torah Jewry: Rabbonim, Roshei Kollelim, mental health and health professionals, Menahalim, teachers, business people, parents — from the teens to the nineties — a veritable cross-section of Klal Yisrael.
In its first 1.5 years of operation the Center trained and certified more that 100 students in the
art and science of hypnotism and offers advanced courses and supervision. The Jewish media have also shown interest in hypnosis. Feature articles on hypnosis have appeared in Community Magazine as well as the Voice of Lakewood. Zev Ballen appeared on the Zev Brenner radio show as well
as the cable television station at Brooklyn college – all to talk about hypnosis.
The Hypnosis Training Center has produced a number of outstanding graduates who are now making major contributions to the community in the areas of: hypno-birthing, hypnosis for confidence and concentration in learning, weight-loss, fears, and hypnosis with elementary age children. Approximately 33 Mechanchim have taken the training. A number of them are using
their skills in Cheder and Mesifta settings both to enhance academic performance and help
with behaviors such as smoking.
Zev Ballen, LCSW recently presented his work on Hypnosis
and Learning at the Torah Umesorah Convention. And, in the past has spoken at Nefesh International. The Center has made available
a 42-CD collection of the highlights of Zev Ballen’s classes available to the public. These CD’s
have reportedly helped many people who could not afford private sessions. There are also
CD’s and and one DVD (being edited) that have been produced for training purposes. Our graduates are being requested to speak at camps, and
other programs serving our youth. We have been contacted by a major metropolitan hospital to offer assistance to cancer patients
and by a documentary film company to produce a full-length documentary on the applications
of
hypnosis.
We provide, as a service to the community, via email, the latest research and advances in hypnosis to the community. If you would like to be added to this email list, you can send your request with your email address to michele@thehypnosistrainingcenter.com and you will begin receiving this information. |
